Module 5
Advanced practice in the critical care and emergencies patient.
The most specialized competencies are reinforced through the completion of various courses accredited by national and international entities (SCCM, AHA, ERC, NAEMT, …).
To access Module 5, Modules 1 and 2 must have been completed or validated, and Modules 3 and 4 must be in progress.
Objectives and Competencies
Module 5, Advanced Practice, seeks to reinforce the competencies acquired in more specific contexts of critical care and emergencies, so that the student gains more specialization in topics of their interest.
To this end, various courses accredited by national and international entities (SCCM, AHA, ERC, SEM, NAEMT, AAP) are offered, in addition to current events.
Methodology and Teaching Resources
Module 5, in addition to the accredited courses, includes a common training in Obstetrics and Pediatrics, and Expert Workshops on current topics.
Theoretical-practical training in pediatrics and Obstetrics: This training, common for all students, is based on the viewing of asynchronous virtual theoretical lessons and the completion of in-person practical workshops on the critical obstetric patient and initial care during childbirth, as well as the approach to the critical pediatric patient.
Workshops with experts: Organized in a synchronous virtual symposium format, they include presentations on current topics in the field of critical illness, taught by national and international experts.
Accredited courses: Monographic courses to provide advanced competencies in the management of critical patients, accredited by different entities.
Students choose a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 courses from the offered courses that may be of interest to them. The student will have the material for initial self-study, followed by an in-person phase of theoretical-practical activities lasting 1 to 4 days.
